THE NEW YORK TIMES
Design & Art Direction

As the Print News Design Fellow of the 2025–26 cohort of NYT’s Newsroom Fellowship program, I designed and art directed numerous print stories, spanning from daily and enterprise news to features and special sections.

All stories were produced in close collaboration with section and print hub editors, photo editors, graphics editors, and art directors.

The Vanishing Act
The Vanishing Act is a print-only news package about Bahar al-Assad’s henchmen who terrorized Syrian civilians during the Assad regime. The package ties together three articles: a Visual Investigations tracker, a longform story that chronicles the officials’ escapes, and a behind-the-scenes peek into how the Visual Investigations team gathered their intel using sources like Facebook photos and funeral announcements.
